Acceptance
CamDodge Map ("the app", camdodge.app) is operated by Zachary McGuinness, trading as CamDodge ("we", "us"). When you use the app you are contracting with Zachary McGuinness.
By accessing or continuing to use the app, you agree to these terms. The map and routing are provided free of charge for informational purposes. If you use the app on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you can bind it; otherwise you confirm you are of legal age.
Data accuracy — please read
Camera locations shown in the app come from public OpenStreetMap records and anonymous community reports. This data may be incomplete, out of date, misplaced, or simply wrong. Cameras can be moved, removed, or added at any time without notice.
The absence of a camera on the map does not mean no camera is present. A "camera-free" route is camera-free only according to the data we have — never according to reality.
Do not rely on the app for safety, legal, or enforcement decisions, and never assume a route is free of license-plate readers or surveillance.
Safe driving
The app is not a navigation substitute. Obey all traffic laws, signs, and signals at all times. Never interact with your phone while driving — set your route before you start and pull over to change it.
You are solely responsible for how you drive and for any consequences of following a route suggested by the app.
Community reports
Cameras reported by users are marked as community-unverified until confirmed. Reports are anonymous, and we cannot verify the identity or intent of the person reporting.
Do not submit false, duplicate, or spam reports. We rate-limit reports and may block access for abuse.
Acceptable use
You must not misuse the service, including: using it for any unlawful purpose; fraud, spam, or false reports; infringing anyone's intellectual property; or interfering with security — such as uploading malware, probing or attacking the system, scraping at scale, or trying to access admin features or non-public data.
Intellectual property
We own the app and all related intellectual property, including its software, design, documentation, and the CamDodge name and branding. Third-party map and camera data remain subject to their own licences (see below). You may not copy, resell, or reverse engineer the app except where the law allows.
Tips, payments, and Merchant of Record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Tips are optional one-time payments that support the app; they do not unlock features and are not subscriptions. Payment, billing, taxes, cancellations, and refunds are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms (paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms). See our Refund Policy for how to request a refund.
Service availability
We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, and features may change or be discontinued at any time.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the app, without notice, for material breach of these terms, non-payment or payment fraud, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious violations of our policies such as spam reporting.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app or reliance on its data.
Data sources & attribution
Camera and map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (openstreetmap.org/copyright). Routing and geocoding are provided by public OpenStreetMap-based services, subject to their own terms.
Changes
We may update these terms as the app evolves. The date below reflects the latest revision.
